@00:59Thanks! :D

I apologise for the shaky video there though - if I remember rightly, I almost tripped over when I did that :lol: I should've re-shot it. :paranoid:

I was hoping to go for a longer walk around the river and therefore have more shots from that area, but things didn't work out in my favour so I had to use some clips of some flowers. :lol:

The mixture of the wind, music, and subject matter somewhat reminds me of those beautiful steampunk anime films with medieval and futuristic mixed together :noes:

Hope you like it. :P As always, feedback appreciated:aww:

sound thanks to freesfx.co.uk - more specifically, blastwavefx for the wind and taylorhayward1 for the music.

The framing of most shots is well done, and the switch in focus is slow enough to not feel rushed. One thing I would recommend as a viewer is a tripod. I'm one of those people who get motion sick easily from camera shake, so if something is continually shaky for the whole video, I can get quite queasy by the end. Music was nice and appropriate.

You have some really neat shots in here, and some interesting ideas contrasted between the geese and the flowers.

What are you editing with? It seems like the last couple of frames at the end of each cut freeze before the jump to the next scene? It rather interrupts the flow for me. You might want to look at at stabiliser plugin too - if you are on Windows, deshaker runs in virtual dub for free, and does a very fine job. Some of the jumps feel a bit awkward to me.

The 4 seconds of black around 1:28 are a little disconcerting, and some sense of closure at the end - birds flying off, a flower dropping to the ground, even a fade to black, sync'd with the sound track resolving, would be awesome!

You have created a nice sound-scape - at first I thought the wind was a left-over artefact from the video, but then (prompted by your credits!) realised it was deliberate. Have you looked at Reaper for the soundscape - really cheap ($60) for a pro level tool, and is great for this kind of work if you're an amateur.

Humm...very interesting. I must be living under some weird (frozen) rock, because I have never watched a film on dA before.
And this one was very nice.  Relaxing.  Nice work!!

Thanks so much! :D

Not anyone can submit them, so that's probably why - you need special privs to be able to do it :P (anyone can apply though)

Not necessarily a "special someone", anyone can apply and anyone can be accepted. They just do it this way to avoid copyrighted content and inappropriate videos :stare:
