RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE is a weekly feature usually published by the wonderful JamminJo. She writes it to recognize one artist that stands out within our deviantART community. The deviant she selects must be outstanding and caring about others in the community, and the community itself!
Jo believes it's important to recognize outstanding deviants for their time and dedication. We also believe it's important and we think JamminJo meets the description. Therefore we are posting a special holiday edition of RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE in order to recognize Jo herself!
RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE VOL 8
Dedicated to JamminJo
From Savaliste:JamminJo was so kind when I first met her on DeviantArt. Not only is she a helpful, generous, warm-hearted deviant, but she has a lovely gallery! She has only been on DeviantArt for a year and a half and has such an impact on other deviants and the community. Maybe other deviants will take note from her and learn what community spirit truly means. She inspires me to try harder to be a better person.
From TimberClipse:Jo is perhaps one of the most amazing deviants that deviantART has. Her dedication and love for this community is unlike that of any other. Her care for her family, friends and fellow deviants is amazing.
From karin--yamasaki:I met Jo after my 6th month here on deviantART. She suggested my name to someone who was giving out a premium membership, and with her, I got membership and really enjoyed it. After my one month was up, Jo funded me and I got another membership for about another ten months. Jo has been such a help and she is just an amazing person to the deviantART community. I really look up to her and find her very very nice.
Jo, you are amazing, and please don't forget that, and keep on keeping on, darl. x
From AshleyxBrooke:Jo is a wonderful friendly person and I'm very thankful to have been able to meet her and have her help me with one of my groups. She is a big part of this community and is always trying to get involved and help others. I simply adore her and I look forward to getting to know her a bit better Thank you Jo for all you do and keep being awesome
From The-Lantiis:Jo is one of the most giving and kind deviants on the planet. THE PLANET. She volunteers to help with new projects, gives ideas to old projects to help keep them going, is a constant beacon of happiness and positivity for new and veteran deviants, and Jo takes it upon herself, going above and beyond, to recognize excellence in others. She is one of very few people you can always depend on. To be her friend is an honor and to work with her is an absolute pleasure!
From lintu47:I won't talk about all the things Jo does around here for the community, because there are just so many and her work doesn't need my praising, it's almost impossible to overlook the fact that she's everywhere, in every project, supporting every deviant she comes across in every way she can. I will only talk about my personal thoughts about her as a person.
Unfortunately, as many of you, I haven't yet had the honour of meeting her in person, but I dream about that happening one day. She's a dedicated friend, that very person that can make you smile even if you're having your darkest day. Jo is sensitive, helpful, positive, understanding and modest above all. She's a brilliant role-model for everyone in this community and a wonderful friend. These words do not feel enough to describe her though, but I can't think of better ones; I'm not even sure they even exist.
I love her community spirit, dedication and I feel very lucky to have met her because she has been a constant support and inspiration for me, and for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, Jo!
From LiliWrites:Jo is one of the most enthusiastic deviants I've ever met. She is the reason that SolutionsSanctuary became a group (as well as why the points bank never ran dry ). Her support and encouragement and great ideas have been essential to many other projects as well, and her constant uplifting presence is invaluable to many here. I consider her a dear friend.
From Arichy:Dear Jo! Everyone knows on deviantART that you're amazing and very kind. You're helping to any people who need help! And I can't imagine how you can do so many things on deviantART and in real life! I'm so glad I know you, and I hope to meet you in real, and meet your family
We love you!
From ValaSedai:While I had seen her around here and there already I only actually got to know Jo when I replaced neurotype as Community Week leader a few months ago. I was very happy about being offered this opportunity but also very nervous, hoping I'd be able to live up to people's expectations. All my fears were totally ill-founded though because Jo made this duty so easy and comfortable for me, especially in the beginning where she supported and encouraged me so incredibly much. I don't think anyone else could have done as wonderful a job at this as she did and by now I am very happy to call her a friend. Someone so understanding, so selfless, someone who is there when you need her and most of all someone we can all look up to as a model deviant with a really big heart.
From miontre:Jo is such a wonderful, wonderful deviant. I really don't know where to begin. She's so kind, friendly, helpful, thoughtless, selfless, and has an outstanding community spirit. dA wouldn't be the same without Jo. She has the ability to make others very happy, even over the Internet. I always love reading her comments. At the moment I'm participating in projecteducate with Jo (she is one of the leaders). She is a natural leader, able to make sure everyone understands and that they're all in line. She makes sure every single person enjoys their time at projecteducate! Thanks Jo, for everything you do for this community and the individuals in it.
From Astrikos:Jo is really wonderful. She's friendly, a great role model, and loving towards the community. She's always going out of her way to do more. She's in many amazing groups, keeping them running smoothly.
She's kind, and really awesome all in all.
