Donor Support Funds BreakthroughIn an incredible announcement today, two renowned Cancer researchers, announced an extraordinary breakthrough in the development of Cancer drugs.
What's extra-remarkable about this discovery is that it was fully funded by the donor dollars raised through the Walk to End Women's Cancers that I participate in every year.  
 “The incredible fact that this drug has been developed solely with donor and grant dollars makes it an even more extraordinary accomplishment,” 
It's also amazing that this drug has shown to help in the battle against far more than Women's Cancers.  
This new drug, CFI-400945, will enter clinical trials phase in the months ahead. In the lab, it has been shown to effectively inhibit the growth of human breast and ovarian cancers as well as colorectal, glioblastoma, lung, melanoma, pancreatic and prostate cancers.

So today was my last day as a CV XD I was actually sadder than I would like to admit. I really don't like endings, I'm aware this is not really an ending since I'm RIGHT HERE and not much has changed, but you can't argue with a sad heart v.v and yes I will remain the same, I love DA and I love the Artisan Crafts community, you won't see much change except that I won't be featuring DDs anymore :P (I hope people won't forget about me now that I'm less cool without the fancy hat).

June's Themed DD week: Clear Sky Rain!Hello my sugarcoated clouds!
So after being pushed around by a few devilish people (you know who you are xD) to select  Rain as theme for our June Themed DD Week EVEN THOUGH I hate rain with all my soul :XD: (now you understand why I call them devilish, don't you? :giggle:) I've decided to give in to them! But with a little condition that will surely make it all the more difficult for them to find suggestions and for me to feature them xDDD
June's Themed DD Week... Clear Sky Rain!!
But, what exactly is that? Do you know those days when the sky is blue with only a few scarce clouds here and there... and all of a sudden it starts raining? The water droplets are thick but the rain isn't strong nor fast, it's slow, almost as if the sky was crying while the sun still shines and the sky is the bluest you've ever seen? In those days rainbows are often visible, it's like a magical combination of the weather, and it's also my favourite kind of rain!

'An Insult' - in which the press creates dramaGene Wilder made a rare public appearance Thursday night at 92Y, at which he made the comment that Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is "an insult"- "probably Warner Bros.' insult", he added.
He also said “Johnny Depp, I think, is a good actor, but I don’t care for that director. He’s a talented man, but I don’t care for him doing stuff like he did.”
The press ran away with this, saying things like "Gene Wilder TRASHES 'Wonka' Movie Remake" http://www.tmz.com/2013/06/14/gene-wilder-willy-wonka-charlie-and-the-chocolate-factory/
Knowing Gene Wilder as well as I do (from interviews etc.), I seriously doubt he made those comments with any level of animosity. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. It seems the press may be trying to stir up some drama between Gene Wilder and Tim Burton, and I think this endeavor will most likely be fruitless.

Welcome to ApocaLit Fridays; #Apocalypse-writing's weekly roundup filled with news, information, features and updates on things ..... well, apocalyptic and literature in nature (hence the clever name :slow:).
This week our theme is Weapon of Choice.
When we speak of weapons, we don't necessarily mean guns and knives and cricket bats (oh my!). While those are useful when fending off undead or alien hordes or protecting your family from harm, words can be effective weapons too! "The Pen is mightier than The Sword" anyone?
There are many examples throughout history where words have waged as lethal a war as any  weapon of mass destruction. And be it physical or verbal, bullying and abuse are rampant in modern day society.
So whether it's a personal armory or literary libation; for protection or to send out a message; whatever your weapon of choice, make sure you use it wisely.

I'm really glad this finally came out, file hosting seems like a natural expansion to DA's list of tools. Plus it works great with Muro. That and I'm sure other artists have lost flashdrives in piles of art supplies.
